Military Therapy

For active Duty Military Service members and beneficiaries

Military life presents unique challenges to both service members and their families. This includes a higher risk of depression, anxiety, PTSD, interpersonal challenges, medical problems, and chronic stress. Enlisting comes with a loss of personal freedom. This can be hard to navigate on your own. Therapy can help you take back your life and move forward.

Benefits of seeing a civilian therapist

Many active duty military members are unaware they can see a civilian therapist. Existing mental health resources within the military are often limited & short-term. You may also find it difficult to be fully open and vulnerable when speaking to a mental health provider on-site at your work.

I am an in-network provider with Tricare. Most of my experience is treating PTSD/ trauma with active-duty Navy and Marines and their spouses/ families.

Common Service-Related issues

  • Service-related trauma, including combat service, difficult deployments, injuries, discrimination, assault & harassment, and isolation.

  • Adjustment to military life & coping with deployment.

  • Family challenges & marital problems.

  • Separation from the military- including deciding to separate, medically retire, etc.
